This week we welcomed Rev. Trina Portillo as our temporary Supply Pastor. Her sermon this week was on Jesus’ sorrow for Jerusalem (Luke 13:31-35) which addresses God’s desire to shelter us from harm, while allowing us the freedom to do and face harm (Herod, that fox).
The last of the back-log, assuming that I get this week’s sermon up in a reasonable amount of time. Rev. Johnstone once more, preaching a sermon topical in the context of the cancer diagnosis of our Interim Pastor, Rev. Mike.
Another sermon from the back-log…
Rev. Johnstone frames our struggles with tragedies in light of baptism.
Another in my back-log of recording, here is the sermon from January 3rd, given by Brenda’s baby brother 😉 Matthew “Gospel” Johnstone.
Another from the back-log of sermons… Mike must have stood right near the mike the entire time because this came out crystal clear — not even a nose-blow in the background 😉
This one is from December 20, and Rev. Mike explores Jesus’ mother Mary as a prophet.
Please excuse my tardiness in getting these last few episodes up…
From the women of the Presbyterian Church in Burlington, a song of Mary.
Today I have two sermons for you.
The second, for the first Sunday in Lent, a sermon on the bread of life.
Here is the sermon from Burlington Presbyterian Church for January 17, 2010 called “The Good Wine”.
