Renting Our Fellowship Hall
As a community service, the Presbyterian Church in Burlington rents our Fellowship Hall (28 × 48 feet) at a reasonable cost to local civic groups, organizations, and individuals for one-time events such as: classes, group meetings workshops, seminars, nonprofit fundraising, and similar activities. The hall is not available to the general public for private parties, showers, receptions, etc. There is a kitchen adjacent to the hall with a stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and sink. Room use is limited to the Fellowship Hall, kitchen, and restrooms except by special arrangement. Tables and chairs are available as part of the hall rental. Neither smoking nor alcoholic beverages are permitted in the church building or outside property at any time. A minimum advance notice of one week is required. To ensure that the facilities are in good condition for the congregation’s Sunday morning activities, rentals are typically not available on Saturday evenings.
Regular, ongoing use of the Fellowship Hall, or use of other church facilities including class rooms and the sanctuary may be available on a case-by-case basis if approved by the Session (church council). Use of our facilities for weddings and funerals is at the discretion of the Pastor and the Session.
Rental Requirements:
- A $300 fee for the first 5 hours, then $25 per hour thereafter. No rentals beyond 9 pm.
- A $100 cleaning deposit prior to the event.
- A completed, signed Building/Facility Use Agreement with Addendum and Attachments.
- The cleaning deposit will be returned if the facilities are returned to their original condition.
To determine availability, email a request with the specific purpose of the event along with a name, phone number, and best time to call to office@burlingtonpres.org. We will contact you regarding your request. Hall rental is subject to the discretion and approval of the Session (church council).
If food will be served at your event please contact the Town of Burlington Board of Health (781-270-1955) to find out whether a food permit will be required. A permit may not be required if your event qualifies as a “Potluck Event“
