On this Palm Sunday, we consider Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem and the motivation of the crowds that spontaneously formed the crowds in the street and the procession. For us, it marks the beginning of the Church’s Holy Week, but for the people of ancient Jerusalem, it held a much different meaning.
