Gifts to BPC Spring Up Like Flowers!

     Gifts of family and friends in loving memory of former BPC members Theron and Mary Lib Lemly, and other special gifts, will soon blossom into some welcome additions to our church.

     Contributions in the Lemlys’ memory grew to over $6,600. The Session, in consultation with the family and responding to ideas from the congregation, has decided to make use of these gifts in the following ways:

• New landscaping in the atrium
• New, much-needed cushioned chairs for our choir
• 2 new offering plates (myrtlewood)
• 2 new rectangular tables for front meeting room
• New curtains for front room

     The Lemlys’ son-in-law, Michael Sardina, is in the landscaping business, and we can probably look forward to some partnering between him and our trustees in developing a plan for the atrium. The funding amount was suggested by him.

      And more! In another gracious gesture, Sean Pickett and Betty Doubek offered to purchase new pew Bibles for the sanctuary. They are the New Revised Standard Version (matching the pulpit Bible) and have larger print than the current Bibles (which have been in use since 1986). They are given in memory of Suzanne and Jerome Pickett and Edward Doubek, and in honor of Myrtle Doubek.

     We can look forward in the near future to dedications of some of these gifts in the service of God.
